Aims:
Oldfriend Star was established to serve the community with “Love,
Heart and Happiness”.
We aim at serving the privately-owned elderly homes in the
community, in order to build up the self-esteem and self- confidence
of our senior citizens who live there.
To foster a long-term and
close relationship with these senior citizens, we adopt the
on-target approach with regular visits to focused elderly homes.
Interaction with the senior citizens is the primary objective of our
service, performance of singing, games and drama comes secondary.
This would not only bring positive impacts to the growth of our
senior citizens, but also to enrich the volunteers.

Serve with Heart:
Physically
Leading the senior citizens with relaxing, non-pressured activities
with patience, to let them enjoy the pleasures of exercise again.
Psychologically
To build up the self-esteem and self-confidence of the senior
citizens again with activities such as games, story-telling,
hand-movement exercise and singing. We hope these activities can
facilitate the interaction among peers, and build the social life of
the senior cities who live in the same elderly home. Besides, the
content of these activities aim at bringing out positive messages to
help them face the elderly stage of their life.
Serve with
Happiness:
The activities are designed in pleasuring way, so as to not only to
let the volunteers find great pleasure in serving, but also to let
the senior citizens be happy with our service. This could bring out
the positive message of [it is still a day no matter you’re happy or
not) to face the life.
Serve with Love:
Love is the initiative of our visit, the foundation of the
relationship between volunteers and senior citizens, and headstone
of “three hearts”
Inclination: From heart, with full heart and will Aspiration: with a
clear direction and pure heart of service
We adopt the on-target approach with regular visits to focused
elderly homes in long-term. And interaction with the senior citizens
is the primary objective of our service, performance of singing,
games and drama comes secondary. This is an unique approach
different from the common practice of visits which focus on
performing, or only visit the elderly home in festivals or holiday.
Emphasis on the depth and coverage of our service is our uniqueness.
